The Frantz Throw was designed by Sebastian Eriksson, a Swedish artist who works across collage, illustration and sculpture.
His process is fluid by design - chance and the subconscious play just as big a role as order and planning. The Frantz Throw is a good example of that approach in action. The design is laid out as a three by three grid, with each panel containing a different organic shape - mushroom forms, rounded blobs, arched curves and abstract silhouettes in mustard yellow, burnt orange, charcoal black and warm grey across a cream background. The shapes bleed across the grid lines in places, giving it a loose, almost collaged quality.
Every Slowdown Studio throw starts as an original artwork. We collaborate with independent artists around the world to translate their creativity into woven form. The Frantz Throw is jacquard woven in the USA from cotton with at least 25% recycled cotton: lightweight, textured, and built to last. Use it as a couch blanket, a bed blanket, a wall art tapestry, or wherever you need a little colour or personality.

About the Artist
Sebastian Eriksson is a visual artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. His work encompasses collage, illustration and sculpture. Sebastian’s imagery is playful and abstract. It is the outcome of cramming his brain with impressions from the mundane, forms from nature combined with ambiguous figures. His works are created in a fluid process where chance and the subconscious play an equal role alongside order and planning. The resulting pieces are like fuzzy maps or diffuse pictograms, inviting the viewer to fill in the gaps.

Returns
Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase. This will be at your own shipping expense, unless the product is faulty. Returns must be in their original, packaged condition and arrive back to us undamaged. Email us at orders@slowdownstudio.pro to initiate a return.
