The Essien Throw was designed by Noémie Cédille, a French artist and designer whose work sits somewhere between digital collage and traditional painting.
Noémie's compositions are built from the raw material of the world - colour discovered through travel, the organic forms of nature, the layered logic of sedimentary rock, the bold lines of architecture. The Essien Throw has that earthy, geological quality to it.
Every Slowdown Studio throw starts as an original artwork. We collaborate with independent artists around the world to translate their creativity into woven form. The Essien Throw is jacquard woven in the USA from cotton with at least 25% recycled cotton: lightweight, textured, and built to last. Use it as a couch blanket, a bed blanket, a wall art tapestry, or wherever you need a little colour or personality.

About the Artist
Noémie Cédille is a multidisciplinary artist and designer. Her creations are part of a contemporary, expressive style, rich in textures and colors. Her technique is at the crossroads between digital collage and traditional painting. Through semi-abstract compositions she celebrates the instinctive meeting between form and color. Favoring a sensitive approach to materials and handmade materials, his work always begins with a phase of research into textures in paint. Her shapes undulate, intersect, overlap to become evocative of a landscape, a body, plant and architectural elements. His inspirations come from the colorful worlds and landscapes discovered during her travels, the organic forms of nature, sedimentary strata and layers, geological curiosities as well as the bold lines of vernacular and modern architecture.

Returns
Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase. This will be at your own shipping expense, unless the product is faulty. Returns must be in their original, packaged condition and arrive back to us undamaged. Email us at orders@slowdownstudio.pro to initiate a return.

Orders being shipped outside of the U.S., Australia & the EU may be subject to customs, taxes or any additional charges by your local government, which will be payable by yourself.
